Salthill, Galway photoshoot
It was so fitting that the day we picked to do a photoshoot in Salthill the weather was amazing.
Having grown up in Galway myself and being brought to Seapoint in Salthill for a treat as a kid I have such a fondness for it . It has long changed the days of crazy rock and rave nightclubs and ‘beat on the street’ festivals to a more sedate seaside town with lovely restaurants , bars and hotels. It’s so great to see it come back to its glory and be used for more events/concerts . There’s nothing like the prom on a summers day!
For prospective hen parties coming to Galway, Salthill is a lovely spot with many amazing hotels and of course apartments only a stones throw from the city. I sometimes photograph groups on the beach or in their prospective accommodation – Salthill has so much to offer as regards scenery and we bring the props costumes and accessories to complete the looks you like. If you would like to have a fun photoshoot with your besties our hen options are here 🙂
For our funky photoshoot we incorporated some lovely dresses from Pia Galway a fabulous boutique in the city. Denise and Leah whipped the girls into their dresses for the three different looks. All were inspired by vintage styles but with a bit of a modern twist.
Fiona and Lisa worked their magic on the girls makeup and hair I always love working with these girls they are so talented.
I had always wanted to shoot in the arcades in Salthill and thankfully Seapoint Leisure were so accommodating with us – we managed to shoot away from the crowds so no passers by were caught out! It’s always a busy arcade so we worked around it trying not to be too intrusive.
Further down the prom were Curry’s Amusements. We imposed upon them while they were setting up more rides but they couldn’t be helpful enough offering us various options despite being up the walls themselves. Its such a fun thing to do at any age whether you are a child or teenager or in my case bringing along my tweenagers so I can get a spin on the waltzers myself ! You really feel summer has come in when you see the carousels and rides ‘come to town’ !
Thanks to a great team on this shoot – loved working with you all x
